What is Korean Beef Brisket Doenjang Jjigae?

Korean Beef Brisket Doenjang Jjigae (Chaodol Doenjang Jjigae) is one of Korea's most comforting home-cooked stews. Made with rich Korean soybean paste (doenjang), tender slices of beef brisket, tofu, potatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, and fresh vegetables, this hearty stew delivers a deep, savory flavor that has been loved by Korean families for generations.

Unlike spicy Korean stews, Doenjang Jjigae has a naturally rich, earthy taste from fermented soybean paste. The addition of thinly sliced beef brisket creates an even richer broth while keeping the dish satisfying and nutritious.

Served with a bowl of steamed rice and Korean side dishes, this stew makes a complete meal that is perfect for lunch or dinner any time of the year.
